Researcher at the Institute of Plant Pathology-IPAVE of the Center for Agricultural Research-CIAP, Plant Pathology and Agricultural Modeling Unit-National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (UFYMA-CONICET), National Institute of Agricultural Technology-INTA. She works in the Mycology and Bacteriology Area referring to phytopathogenic bacteria, some of quarantine importance that cause damage to citrus, stone fruit and sugar cane. She is currently working on prospecting, serological-molecular diagnosis and isolation of Xylella fastidiosa strains present in the main productive regions of Argentina. She completed her doctorate under the direction of Ing. Agr. (Dr.) Raquel M. Haelterman on the topic related to the molecular characterization of X. fastidiosa in olive plantations in Argentina, using the multilocus sequence typing-MLST and variable number of tandem repeat analysis-MLVA typing systems. He also worked on the development of a DAS ELISA serological diagnosis system by preparing a reagent from a local strain of X. fastidiosa from Argentina and evaluated the differential behavior of olive cultivars considered tolerant/susceptible implanted in Argentina against to infection with a strain of X. fastidiosa subsp. pauca artificially inoculated under greenhouse conditions.
