Full Professor at the Spanish Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas) at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (ICA-CSIC). More than 35 years of experience in the field of insect feeding behaviour, insect ecology, virus-vector-plant interactions, plant virus epidemiology and integrated pest management.


Role in BeXyl Project: Partner of Work Package 5. Active participation in the efficacy of ground cover management based on non-host and trap plants to interfere with the juvenile instars and egg masses of Philaenus spumarius. Furthermore, on the effects of chemicals/formulations and entomopathogens on the feeding behaviour of Philaenus spumarius.
