BeXyl goes local: revitalizing olive growing in Apulia

The BeXyl consortium partner IPSP-CNR and the Università Politecnica delle Marche, with the contribution of UNAPROL, CRSF “Basile Caramia”, local olive oil producers and the Italian professional association of Agronomists, have organized the technical meeting “The regeneration of olive growing in Salento in a context of innovation”, scheduled on 5 October 2023.

Experts and researchers will touch upon topics such as the management of olive tree canopy and root system, prospects of the breeding for resistance to Xylella fastidiosa in Italy and Spain, and planning and management of replanting in Salento, the most hit area by X. fastidiosa in Apulia.

The event is part of the BeXyl dissemination activities.
