The National Research Council (CNR) is one of the main research Institution of this consortium. Two different Institutes are involved, covering a range of WP and Tasks: the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection is involved in several field and laboratory investigations, particularly in those in regarding the manipulation of the bacterium in the quarantine facilities and in the demarcated area of Apulia: the Institute of Biosciences and Bioresources whose investigations are focussed on elucidating the genetic traits of resistance in olive to Xf. The team will be supported also by the Third Party, Azienda Agricola Melcarne, supporting the management of the olive progenies derived from the breeding program.
